#CMT# #/CMT# The geothermal probe has a heat pipe (1) closed at the bottom, for receiving a two-phase heat transfer medium e.g. carbon dioxide, and a heat exchanger (6) serving as a condenser for the heat transfer medium. An upper end piece (2) of the heat pipe that penetrates into a base (3) of a heat exchanger housing (4) includes passage openings (7) for a heat transfer medium condensate in a region of the housing base.
