PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery with its self-discharging suppressed easily at a low cost. SOLUTION: The battery accommodates a polyethylene sack in which acid is encapsulated. The acid captures a self-discharging promoting substance such as ammonium gas, and self-discharging is suppressed. The acid should favorably has a pKa value of 4.8 or below and a boiling point of 150 deg.C or over. Examples of the acid are concentrated sulfuric acid, methane-sulfonic acid, benzene-sulfonic acid, nafthalene-sulfonic acid, alkyl benzene-sulfonic acid, alkyl nafthalene- sulfonic acid, etc. |
