The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for authenticating a user using movement information. The mobile device according to the present invention comprises: a movement detection unit detecting a movement and generating movement information about the movement; a wireless communication unit performing wireless communication connection with an external second mobile device and receiving second movement information of the second mobile device from the second mobile device; and a control unit determining whether predetermined user authentication conditions are satisfied based on the movement information and the second movement information and, if so, completing user authentication. |
