PURPOSE:To obtain good transfer images by detecting the home positions of an image carrier and transfer material holding means by respective detecting means and controlling the image formation onto the image carrier according to the detection signals. CONSTITUTION:When a copy button is pushed, the apparatus starts operation to feed copying paper P, let exposure lamps light, perform the 1st original scanning, and perform AC destaticizing simultaneously with image exposure through a blue color separating filter 5a thereby forming an electrostatic latent image of yellow color on the photoreceptor. The image is then developed by a developing device 9 to obtain a visible image of yellow color which is thence transferred onto the paper P. The paper is wound on a transfer drum 14. The toners on the drum D are removed by a cleaner 25. In the 2nd scanning, a magenta image is transferred on the paper P by the light through a filter 5b and in the 3rd scanning a cyan visible image is transferred on the paper P by the light through a filter 5c. Next, the paper P is separated and discharged form the drum 14 by the operation of separating claws 21. |
