PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable appropriate device operation without forcing troublesome work on a user, when preserving or restoring set information.SOLUTION: A communication device includes: holding means for holding set information for use when controlling the communication device; update means for updating the set information held by the holding means with preliminary set information; authentication means for performing user authentication to communicate with an external device; state control means for controlling the state of the communication device; and state acquisition means for acquiring the communication device state by the state control means. The set information includes account setting to be used for the authentication means. The update means does not update at least a part of the account setting, included in the set information held by the holding means, with the preliminary set information on the basis of the acquisition result of the state acquisition means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
