PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select an appropriate satellite positioning system corresponding to a location and measure a position in a positioning device with which it is possible to use a plurality of satellite positioning systems.SOLUTION: A GNSS receiver 10 capable of using a plurality of satellite positioning systems selects a satellite positioning system used in position measurement on the basis of assistance information acquired from an external device 50. For example, a satellite positioning system correlated as available to the position of the external device 50 near the GNSS receiver 10 is selected. Also, a satellite positioning system to be used in position measurement is selected in accordance with the order of priority based on the number of captured satellites per satellite positioning system that is positioning associated information derived from position measurement performed by the external device 50 capable of using a plurality of satellite positioning systems.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
