PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader capable of suppressing a document from being damaged with a part projecting upward from a support surface and constituting a part of a conveyance path.SOLUTION: An image reader includes: a main body part 8 having a support surface 81A; an opening/closing part which can be displaced between a closing position and an opening position; a conveyance part which is provided in the opening/closing part; and a first read part 3B which is accommodated in the main body part 8, reads an image of a document supported on the support part 81A while moving, and reads an image of a first surface of a sheet conveyed along the conveyance path with the opening/closing part at the closing position. The main body part 8 includes: a movable part 160 which can be displaced between a first position where it projects upward from the support surface 81A to constitute a part of the conveyance path and a second position where at least a part of it retracts downward from the first position to below the support surface 81A; and a push-latch mechanism 190 which displaces the movable part 160 between the first position and the second position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
