PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide iron oxide particles which has an excellent particle diameter distribution, excellent uragnetic characteristics, especially excellent coercive force stability, excellent FeO content stability and excellent heat resistance and is especially useful in the fields of xerography magnetic toners, electrostatic latent image development carriers, coating black pigment powder, and the like, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: Iron oxide particles contain copper and/or cerium in an amount of 0.001 to 0.5 wt.% based on the total amount of the iron oxide particles. |
