PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when a master unit and a slave unit connected by a packet network perform frequency synchronization, a packet including the quality information of frequency signal is discarded conventionally by a repeating transmission device, or the slave unit cannot discriminate the quality state accurately when definition of the quality information is different.SOLUTION: In a frequency synchronization method of a transmission system for transmitting a packet, including a frequency signal and the quality information indicating a quality state thereof, from a master unit to a slave unit via a transmission device, the quality information has a plurality of options where the definition of correspondence of the quality state and quality information is different. When the master unit and transmission device transmit the quality information, respectively, to the slave unit based on the different definition of option, the slave unit discriminates the quality state of a frequency signal received by an own device, with reference to a discrimination table corresponding to a plurality of types of quality information of different option.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
