PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance device capable of performing skew correction without depending on the tip shape of the sheet.SOLUTION: Gate members 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b, 9a, 9b are arranged so that abutting surfaces 7af, 7bf and abutting surfaces 9af, 9bf on at least two spots provided respectively on the upstream side and the downstream side in the sheet conveyance direction X abut on the tip of the sheet. The gate positions of the abutting surfaces 7af, 7bf of the gate members 7a, 7b are located on the downstream side in the sheet conveyance direction X in comparison to the gate positions of the abutting surfaces 9af, 9bf of the gate members 9a, 9b. The phase position between the abutting surfaces 7af, 7bf of the gate members 7a, 7b and the abutting surfaces 9af, 9bf of the gate members 9a, 9b is located on the side reverse to the abutting surfaces 8af, 8bf of the gate members 8a, 8b.
