PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide sintered body containing LiLaZrOand having a garnet type crystal structure applicable to a solid electrolyte for a lithium ion battery, and a production method therefor, a solid electrolyte using the same and a lithium ion battery using the same.SOLUTION: A oxide sintered body 100 is provided that mainly contains oxide in which M( at least one element selected from Al, Nb and Ta) is solid-solved in a mother material represented by LiLaZrOand having a cubic system garnet type crystal structure and that has a pore volume ratio of 0.5% or less, preferably 0.3% or less. An atomic ratio of M to La is 0≤M/La≤0.15, preferably 0.04≤M/La≤0.8, an atomic ratio of Li to La is 2≤Li/La≤2.5 and an atomic ratio of Zr to La is 0.6≤Zr/La≤0.7. The oxide sintered body 100 is provided that is a solid electrolyte material for a lithium ion battery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
