PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus capable of improving productivity without the need to suspend an image output operation during a continuous image output operation for cleaning a discharge wire of a corona charger.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus 100 comprises: a photoreceptor 1; corona chargers 2a, 2b which are provided with discharge wires 201 longer than the length of a discharge region; take-up parts 207, 208 which reciprocally convey the discharge wires 201 in the longitudinal direction; cleaning members 212, 213 which clean the discharge wires; and a control part 10 which causes the take-up parts 207, 208 to perform the conveyance operation for reciprocally conveying the discharge wires 201 during a series of image output operations for forming images continuously on plural recording materials P. The control part 10, in the conveyance operation, causes start of conveyance of the discharge wires 201 and resumption of conveyance after switching the conveyance direction while a non-image region on the photoreceptor 1 in the rotation direction of the photoreceptor 1 passes through a charging part a in the rotation direction of the photoreceptor 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
