Compn. of (a) 100 pbw of a mineral-oil wax, (b) 15-30 pbw of an EVA copolymer (vinyl acetate content 20-30 wt. %, melt index 0.1 to 25). (c) 0.1 to 2 pbw solid polyethylene (av. mol. wt. 7000 to 35000), (d) 15-30 pbw solid polyterpene (softening point 85 to 135 degrees C), (e) 1-10 pbw of (i) liquid terpene (softening point 10-50 degrees C) (ii) white oil (visc. 200-1500 SSU at 37.8 degrees C) or (iii) a mixture of (i) and (ii). - Spec. component (a) is a mixture of 60-90 wt. % paraffin wax and 10-40% microcrystalline wax. Used for coating of wrapping material e.g. corrugated cardboard.
