In a friction clutch, the release levers 42 are pivoted on pins 44 on the driving casing 24 and act on the pressure plate 28 to release the clutch via L-shaped clips 60 having tabs 62 bent over to engage the lever ends 62, and being formed with a slot (68), Fig. 4 (not shown), extending from the opposite free end of the clip to an aperture (70) large enough to engage around an annular shoulder 72 and behind the head 37 of an adjustment screw 36 on the pressure plate. To assemble, the tab 62 is placed over the lever end and the slot (68) slid over the screw shank. The aperture (70) in the clip is then allowed to snap up over the shoulder 72 against the head 37. |
