PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a masked mark on a recording layer of a heat-sensitive recording material and prevent the alteration of heat- sensitive recording information. SOLUTION: A developer of high solvent resistance of an image after coloring is used on a heat-sensitive recording body with a prime coat layer, and a thermal fixing type heat-sensitive recording body containing a substance of 40 deg.C or higher melting temperature reducing the developing capability of the developer is used as a recording medium, and a masked mark is formed by heating the recording medium and forming the same into the form of a specified mark at the 40 deg.C or higher temperature before or after heat recording the recording medium by a thermal head.
