PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for enabling the continuous production of rice balls having little weight error. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises the following mechanisms: a divided rice body-supplying mechanism E having an upper transferring mold 34 and a lower transfer mold 35, which has a movable separation blade 33 between molds, and a rice transferring pathway 42, forming a lower wall 38 divided into a lower staged bottom wall 38a and an upper staged bottom wall 38d, having a forming stage 44 between the walls, and comprising a divide rice body-supplying mold 32 in which a falling hole 45 for a lower rice body d is formed on the lower bottom wall, and a falling hole 46 for an upper rice body e on the upper bottom wall 38b, and charging press molds 36 and 37 placed above the falling hole 45 of the divided rice body-supplying mold; a transferring mechanism F for the upper and lower rice bodies comprising an intermittent rotary table 54 on which receiving molds 56 and 57 are placed outside and inside; and a rice binding mechanism G comprising a rice binding mold 60, in which pushing up hole 62 and a pushing down hole for the upper rice body are formed on the bottom wall 61, a pressing mold 58, a pushing up bar 67 for pushing up the upper rice body to the pushing hole, and a press mold 68 for pushing down the upper rice body to the lower rice body. |
