PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make attachable not only visual information, but also sound information making electronic mail appeal to hearing sense and to freely generate the sound information on a transmission side. SOLUTION: Sound information which can freely be generated and edited on a transmission side can be attached to ordinary mail (document) and sent and the music, etc., based upon the sound information is outputted when the mail is received on a reception side, so the mail can be enjoyed not only visually, but also auditorily. The sound information is edited in a sound information editor; and scales, pitches, beats, and timbres are stored in a table corresponding to code numbers, which are selected. The reception side has the same table and received codes are decoded to output sound information, so the amount of data is reducible. |
