PURPOSE:To reduce an area for mounting by automatically conducting the dicriminating of the head direction of works fed at random and the alignment of the head direction and conducting sealing and the cutting of frames in the same machine. CONSTITUTION:Works 16, the directions of the surfaces and the backs thereof are aligned by a ball feeder 1 and directions thereof are selected so that the longitudinal directions coincide with the direction of flow, are passed continuously through a discharge port 1a for the ball feeder 1, and discharged onto a rail 3. The works are separated at regular intervals by a work separator 4, and carried on the rail 3. The head direction in the direction of the flow of a direction notch 16a is inspected by an appearance confirming device 5, and the direction of the direction notch 16a is replaced by a direction reversing device 6 as required. The works 16 are cut through frame cutters 7, 8, and sealing surfaces in the works 16 before sealing are washed by an organic solvent, etc. by a work-surface washer 9. The surfaces are sealed by a marking device 10, the works 16 are housed into housing bodies such as stick magazines by a work housing device, and the housing bodies are stacked in a stocking section 13.
