PURPOSE:To perform development of high image quality without toner scattering, fogging, irregularity in development density, and ghost by preventing a developer from falling and receiving the falling developer. CONSTITUTION:A developer 28 is conveyed by the rotation of a fur brush 25 to a position opposite to a developing roller 34, whose surface is coated with an electrostatically charged developer 28; and the thickness of the developer is controlled to prescribed thickness when a blade 44 passes. Then, an excessive developer which is not used for development is carried downstream while sticking on the roller 34 and carried to a housing 29 through a developer leak preventive sheet 52. Further, a voltage applying means 53 applies a DC voltage while holding the side of the developer leak preventive member 52 plus, so that the leaking developer 28 is attracted toward the brush 35. |
