PURPOSE:To keep off the contraction of a filtered fluid as well as to check a pressure loss, by joining element double end inner sides of each crease in a filter element together, while making the outer side of an adjacent crease approach to each other from the composition plane, and forming it into a funnel- shaped part. CONSTITUTION:A filter element 3 folds a sheet of filter paper, forming a lot of creases 4 while it is formed as rolled into tubular form. And, at both ends of the tubular element 3, element inner sides of each crease 4 are mutually joined together, forming a sealing part 5. In this case, sides to be situated in the outer side of adjacent creases 4 are mutually approached to the axial direction from a composition plane at both ends of the element 3, forming a funnel- shaped part 6 between these adjacent crea ses 4. With this constitution, at the time of inflow of a filtered fluid to the element 3, contraction is prevented from occurring by this funnel-shaped part 6, whereby a pressure loss and a head loss are checked.
