PURPOSE:To provide the title antineoplastic agent and carcinomatous transfer inhibitor having significant effect on solid carcinoma, extremely low toxicity and usable for a long period. CONSTITUTION:The objective antineoplastic agent and carcinomatous transfer inhibitor containing as active ingredient ribonuclease inhibitor prepared by purification using ribonuclease sepharose from human placenta. This active ingredient inhibits vascularization by angiogenin and has inhibitive effect for ribonuclease activity, and is considered to manifest antineoplastic effect and carcinomatous transfer inhibitive effect by these actions. The present agent or inhibitor is effective as an antineoplastic agent esp. against lymphocytic leukemia, brain tumor, lung carcinoma, breast carcinoma, hepatocarcinoma, carcinoma of the stomach, melanoma cells, etc., being also effective as a carcinomatous transfer inhibitor against pulmonary transfer and lymphonodus transfer.
