COMMUNICATION SYSTEM UTILIZING LIGHT WAVE AND RADIO WAVE SIGNALS COMBINATION IN TRANSPONDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To detect the position of a light receiving face even when it is hidden by providing a radio equipment installed to a fixed station and a transponding card able to be called from the radio equipment when the position information of an infrared ray transmitter cannot be received. CONSTITUTION:An infrared ray transmitter ITX 46 and a radio equipment TRT 47 are installed on a ceiling 45 of a room, the position information from the infrared ray transmitter ITX 46 is normally by an infrared ray receiver ITX 52 of a TRC 50 and ID information or the like including position information from a radio transmission reception section 53 is added and the result is sent to a radio equipment TRT 47. When a photodetecting face 60 of the TRC 50 is hidden, the position information from the radio equipment TRT 47 is fetched by a microcomputer MPU 51 and it is sent from the radio transmission reception section 53 to the radio equipment TRT 47. Thus, a control center and the possessor of the TRC recognize the disabled reception of the position information due to an infrared light.
