PURPOSE:To enable a strength and a direction of shock to be determined by providing an inertial body which is placed within a housing and three or more shock sensors which are provided in a peripheral direction of an outer-periphery surface of this inertial body while it is in contact with the outer-periphery surface. CONSTITUTION:Six piezoelectric elements/electrode-storing case insertion holes 13 are provided on a side surface of a cylindrical housing 10 at six equally divided positions in peripheral direction (central angle: 60 degrees) and a total of six sets of shock sensors S are inserted into each insertion hole 13. An inertial body 8 is installed within the housing 10 so that the upper and lower portions are retained at a housing upper lid 11 and a housing bottom lid 12 by springs 9A and 9B. The sensor S has a piezoelectric element/electrode-storing case 7a constituting each outer shell and this case 7a contacts so that a light pressure is applied to a semi-spherical shaped protruding portion 8A of the inertial body 8 by each tip. An outer force which is applied in any radial direction for the inertial body 8 can be detected as an output of the piezoelectric element 1 and a direction and a strength of the outer force can be detected. |
