<p>The invention provides environment-friendly and energy- efficient (energy-saving) animal accommodation for breeding and/or fattening pigs, for example. The emission of noxious substances such as ammonia from the accommodation is prevented by ammonia-containing air from the sty being intimately mixed with a purging fluid which binds the ammonia. The bound ammonia can be converted, for example by bacteria, into nitrogen. The invention further provides a ventilation and/or heating system which preferably consists of a system of pipes for supplying fresh air to the accommodation and discharge means for the stale air, said discharge means comprising the space around the pipes of the system and an exhaust installation. Heat exchange takes place between fresh and stale air, possibly with the intervention of purging fluid. The invention finally provides a processing system for manure, by means of which the manure produced can be made into reusable manure granules.</p> |
