PURPOSE:To extend the operable range of a printer by confirming the state of the developer of a developing machine corresponding to a sorting-information generating means generating image sorting information and all hue information constituting a color image and providing a printing propriety means deciding the propriety of printing on the basis of sorting information. CONSTITUTION:Initial processing is conducted by turning a power supply ON, and a ready state is brought when even one of the toner density of developing machines of each color is kept within a next-image printing tolerance (a range C). The hue signal of an image to be printed and kind (a text image and a graphic image) information are received by confirming a printing demand signal. Whether or not the toner density of the developing machine of a specified color is kept within the range C is checked, and whether or not the specified color is two colors or less is checked when the toner density is kept within the range C. Processing progresses to printing processing when the image to be printed is two colors or less, whether or not the toner density is kept within a text and graphic image printing tolerance (a range (b)) is checked when the image is three colors or more, the adaptation of the developing machine is transmitted when the toner density is kept within the range (b), and processing advances to printing processing. |
