PURPOSE:To easily race a case of illegal copying by detecting illegal copy trace information added to a recording medium to inhibit copying onto a storage medium from which no illegal copy trace information is detected. CONSTITUTION:The copying machine 1 is provided with a detection means 40 detecting illegal copy trace information added to a recording medium P, a copy inhibit means 41 inhibiting copying to a recording medium P from which no illegal copy trace information is detected, and a control means 42 controlling the copying inhibit means 41 based on a detection signal from the detection means 40. In this case, the control means 42 stores the reflecting density of the recording medium P to which the illegal copy trace information is added and outputs a detection signal when the density is other than the reflecting density. When the detection signal is inputted to the copy inhibit means 41, the copy inhibit means 41 stops turning of a 2nd feed roller 28 to inhibit the copying to the recording medium P from which no illegal copy trace information is detected. Thus, when illegal copy is made, since the illegal copy trace information is added to the recording medium P, its tracing is facilitated. |
