PURPOSE:To restrain the amount of ozone to be generated and to prevent a photosensitive drum from being damaged by using a photosensitive body having a large receiving amount of charge in the unit inflow current reference from a corona charger as a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:This image forming device by electrophotographic method is provided with the photosensitive body 1, a positive corona charger 2, an image exposure device 3, a developing device 4 and a transfer roller 5 by negative electrostatic charging. Then, a photosensitive body whose receiving amount of the charge in the unit inflow current reference from the corona charge 2 is >=40V/1muA is used as the photosensitive body 1, and DC voltage is impressed on the charger 2 so that average ozone concentration in the atmosphere of the photosensitive body 1 may be <=2ppm, and the ozone concentration just under the charge 2 may be <=5ppm. The positive corona charger 2 is used to electrostatically charge the photosensitive body 1 requiring high voltage and the negative electrostatic charging is performed by roller transfer 5 in the case of transferring, so that the production of ozone is restrained. |
