PURPOSE:To obtain an antifungal organic material highly resistant to washing and not subject to chemical change, by sticking, to the surface of an organic polymeric material, an antifungal metal or metal compound virtually uncovered with surfactant. CONSTITUTION:An organic polymeric material (e.g. natural polymer found in plants or animals, starch, or synthetic polymer such as polyethylene or nylon) is incorporated in a non-aqueous solution with antifungal metal or metal compound fine particles (e.g. silver, copper, zinc, zincic copper, zinc oxide) 1-1000nm in diameter dispersed therein, followed by agitation to stick the metal or metal compound to the surface of the organic polymeric material, thus obtaining the objective antifungal organic polymeric material efficiently presenting antifungal activity with minute amounts of pickup without impairing the appearance, touch feel, etc., of said material. |
