The NC PERT program preparing method uses NC tables to convert pattern-defining and motion-defining statements to NC PERT programs. Escape paths (EP) are set for insertion at corners (CN) and motion-defining statements are input that ignore these escape paths. The work location is determined on the inner side of beam path (bi) corners on the basis of the directions of beam turning at corners and offset directions which are included in the motion-defining statements. The beam is indicated if offset to the right or left of its direction of advance and the preset escape path is inserted when the work is on the inside of a corner.
