PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the consumption of a main electric power source which feeds the hydraulic pump motor of a power steering device in an electric vehicle. SOLUTION: A steering travel intention decision device 18 to which a signal for detecting the operating state of a parking brake and a signal for detecting a selector position are inputted to decide that there is no steering travel intention when a selector is set to a parking position or when the parking brake is operated and the selector is set to a neutral position is provided. Also, a switch means 19 for stopping feeding a hydraulic pump motor 7 by a decision output from the steering travel intention decision device 18 that there is no steering travel intention is provided. Accordingly, when there is no steering travel intention, even if a key switch 2 is turned on, feeding the hydraulic pump motor 7 is stopped, thereby preventing the consumption of a main electric power source. |
