PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress torque ripple of a five-phase stepping motor. SOLUTION: Coils 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of phases A, B, C, D and E are connected in a ring and transistors TAP, TBP, TCP, TDP and TEP are inserted between respective joints and the positive pole + of a power supply 7 while transistors TAN, TBN, TCN, TDN and TEN are inserted between respective joints and the negative pole -of the power supply 7. A series circuits of two phase coils and a series circuit of three phase coils are formed and the direction of combined torque vector of respective phase coils is altered by altering the combination of phase coils in each series circuit and controlling the current flowing through one phase coil in the series circuit of three phase coils. |
