PURPOSE:To provide an ignition coil with a high insulation effect at both low and high temperatures by using SF6 or freon gas as the insulating material sealed between coils and their container. CONSTITUTION:Around a central iron-core 1, a secondary coil 2 and a primary coil 3 are wound, each end of the primary coil 3 being connected to each of the input terminals 4 and 5. One end of the secondary coil is connected to the terminal 4 of the primary coil, and the other end, to the output terminal 6. The coil obtained in this manner is placed in a container 7, and sealed by using an insulating material 9, and the open end is closed up tight by using a cap 8. As the insulating material 9, no insulating oil is used, but SF6 or freon gas. Thus, a low temperature does not cause the breakdown voltage to lower, and a high temperature does not cause the inner pressure to rise, so that the device is prevented from being broken. |
