The invention refers to a multifunctional protective helmet which enables soldiers, anti-terrorist fighters, etc. who wear it to engage into close range fights, in enclosed and relatively small spaces and any lighting conditions. The helmet is made up of a body (1) which has a sight (9), and it can also include a night-time viewing device (2), an air-release valve (22), a thermal and poisonous substances protection system (3) with a filtering bed (18), two audio headphones (26) and a laryngophone (27). The application of the invention provides soldiers, anti-terrorist fighters, police officers, commandos, etc. with a multifunctional helmet equipped so that it ensures ballistic and chemical protection, night-time viewing facilities and an exchange of optical and audio information with the commanding officer of the action.
