PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode for an alkali secondary cell which can control an internal short in the alkali secondary cell, provided with a vorti cal electrode group. SOLUTION: A positive electrode mixture, containing an active material and a conductive substrate of a three-dimensional structure containing the active material, is provided, and a first crack is generated within a region of 2 mm from a previously bent end, when bending test of a diameter of 30 mmΦ is carried out along a drying direction.
