SOLUTION: A character ('mountain') equivalent to the hint of an association game is displayed at the association display part 26b of the screen 26a of a liquid crystal display device 26 and the hint is additionally displayed. A normal player associates it with a correct answer in the stage. Then, the correct answer ('Mt.Fuji') is displayed at the association display part 26b, and when 'correct' for indicating that it is the correct answer is displayed further, it is the display of large winning and a special game is executed due to it. The intellectual curiosity of the player is aroused by the association game. Also, since the same three patterns (777 for instance) are displayed still in a 3-digit display part 26c almost in synchronism with the display of 'correct', confusion is not caused.
