DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING INTEGRATED BOARD FOR SERIAL COMMUNICATION

PURPOSE: A display device is provided to simplify a construction of a serial communication interface circuit and reduce a space in a display device by integrally constituting an interface circuit for a high speed serial communication and an interface circuit for a low/medium speed serial communication which are existed separately in a display device in one board. CONSTITUTION: A self power supplying device(10) supplies a predetermined serial power source. An integrated board(20) for a serial communication receives a power source from the self power supplying device(10) and classifies data and a power source in accordance with a USB and an IEEE1394. Elements of the integrated board(20) are described as follows. The first regulator(21) receives an output power of the self power supplying device(10) and converts the power into the first DC voltage and outputs the voltage. A 1394 physical layer(22) is operated by an output power of the first regulator(21) and relays data in accordance with an IEEE1394. A USB hub(24) is operated by an output power of the first regulator(21) and relays data in accordance with a USB. The second regulator(26) receives an output power of the self power supplying device(10) and converts the power into the second DC voltage and outputs the voltage. A 1394 port(23) comprises at least one 1394 cable connection unit for applying an input power of the first regulator(21) to a 1394 device, or for receiving/transmitting data between the 1394 device and the 1394 physical layer(22). A USB port(25) comprises at least one USB cable connection unit for applying an input power of the second regulator(26) to a USB device, or for receiving/transmitting data between the USB device and the USB hub(24).
