PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image having high image quality by more accurately correcting registration by performing correction for which misalignment in a feeding direction caused at the time of correcting tilted color slippage is taken into consideration by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The positional information of each image formed by several image forming parts is detected by photosensors 106a and 106b, and the tilt correction amount of the image by each image forming part is respectively obtained based on the positional information of each image detected, and the tilt of the image by each image forming part is corrected by a CPU at the inside of a control unit CONT based on the tilt correction amount of the image by each image forming part obtained, and the fluctuating amount of the position of the image in the feeding direction by each image forming part caused at the time of correcting tilt is calculated, so that the position of the image in the feeding direction by each image forming part is corrected so as to cancel each fluctuating amount calculated. |
