PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a carrier from sticking on a drum in the midst of forming an image because the coercive force of the carrier on an impalpable powder side, especially, to a sleeve becomes weak by making particle sizes of toner and the carrier smaller and the magnetization of the carrier lower in order to make image quality high in two-component development. SOLUTION: When the image forming device is installed and when developing material is exchanged, the carrier on the developing sleeve is developed on the drum. In such a case, it is developed at fogging eliminating (Vback) potential that the potential of developing bias is lower than that of a latent image. The maximum value of the particle size distribution of the developed carrier is equal to or larger than the maximum value of the particle size distribution of the carrier adhering to the drum in the midst of forming the image. The total weight of the developed carrier is equal to or larger than the total weight of the carrier sticking to the drum in the midst of forming the image. |
