PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote power source control system and a remote power source control unit for starting and stopping a computer whose security lock is set by a power-on password or HDD password managed by a BIOS in an available status.

SOLUTION: This remote power source control system is provided with a remote power source controller 40 for controlling the start and stop of a remote PC 50 by receiving a start command signal or a shutdown command signal from a client PC. This remote power source control system is provided with a remote PC 50 having a security lock function 52 in which a power-on password and an HDD password are set and a remote power source controller 40 having a keyboard interface function 43 for transmitting the power-on password and/or HDD password of the security function through a USB or PS/2 interface to the remote PC 50 when receiving the start command signal from the client PC 10 through a network; a remote power source control function 41 for supplying a power to the remote PC 50; and an IP address switching function 44 for setting a first fixed IP address during the stop of the remote PC 50, and for switching a second fixed IP address after the start of the remote PC 50.
