<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device capable of certainly protecting a waist part of an occupant by suppressing inflation of an airbag from being inhibited. <P>SOLUTION: The side airbag device 20 is provided with the airbag 22 starting inflation by a gas jetted from an inflator 21, i.e., a gas generation source and inflated/deployed to a vehicle front side between at least the waist part of the occupant sitting on a seat 10 in a cabin and a side wall part in the cabin. The airbag 22 is stored in the state that it is folded in a bellows-like shape such that a deployed distal end is made approached toward a base end 22c side mounted to a seat back 11 and in the state that a lower inflation part 24 inflated/deployed according to the waist part of the occupant is folded/returned from a vehicle rear side to an upper side in the seat back 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
