<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation type imaging scanner system having high rotation speed. <P>SOLUTION: A rotation member (254, 602, 1212) has an open area in the vicinity of an axis around which the rotation member (254, 602, 1212) is rotated. An X-ray source (610) and an X-ray detector (616) are placed on the rotation member (254, 602, 1212) configured so as to receive X-rays from the X-ray source (610). A part of a non-contact power transferring system to rotate a rotatable part of a gantry (600) in an extremely high speed may be formed by a rotation transformer (250, 1202) having a primary coil (276) and a secondary coil (278) arranged in the circumferential direction.
