PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when a highly glossy image is formed on a recording material that has toner receiving layers on both its sides, an image face on the one side smoothed is made rough during the smoothing of an image face on the other side, which results in a decrease in the glossiness thereof.
SOLUTION: The glass transition temperature of toner receiving layers formed on both sides of a base material is set to the range of 40°C to 80°C inclusive. In addition, the glass transition temperature of the toner receiving layer subject to a smoothing process earlier than the other is made higher than that of the toner receiving layer that is subjected to the smoothing process later. Further, the speed at which the toner receiving layer of the lower glass transition temperature is subjected to the smoothing process is made higher than the speed at which the toner receiving layer of the higher glass transition temperature is subjected to the smoothing process.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
|
