PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable superconducting appliance wherein measurement of the temperature, distortion, or partial discharge of its superconducting element takes place via non-contacting wireless communication to facilitate its insulation and reduce the heat penetration into the inside of its cryostat. SOLUTION: In the superconducting appliance 10, a superconducting element 26 is cooled to the temperature whereat it exhibits superconductivity. Further, IC tags 13 having sensors are provided in such positions that they can perform wireless communication to a reader/writer 27 for an IC tag provided on the outside of its cryostat 11.
