<p>PURPOSE:To obtain characteristics proper for carrier fluidity, stabilized for long time in electrification performance and excellent in high image quality by using as a core material a ferrite carrier of specific composition containing Bi2O3, and coating a carrier with a cross-linking silicone resin or a fluorine- containing resin in thin layer. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a magnetic carrier core material having 0.5-5 pts.wt. of BiO3 per 100 pts.wt. of a ferrite component shown as (Fe2O3)x(MO)1-x is coated with a cross-linking silicone resin of a fluorine-containing resin. In the formula, M is one or two metal elements selected from the group of Li, Mn, Mg, Ca, Al, Si and Sr, and X is a weight-part quantity, being 0.2<=X<=0.95, A carrier is thus coated and a toner is of weight average grain size 1-9mum containing inorganic fine grains of weight average grain size 0.001-0.2mum at least as an externally added agent.</p> |
