PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device obtaining the necessary flux density of an encoder grating without degrading sealing performance or enlarging a width dimension. SOLUTION: A seal member 3 mounted to a second seal plate 2 covers from the end part of an inner diameter surface of a cylindrical part 2b to the end face and the end part of an outer diameter surface of the cylindrical part 2b. The seal member 3 has a bulging part 3d slightly bulging to the outer diameter side while covering the end part of the outer diameter surface of the cylindrical part 2b. The bulging part 3d comes in close contact in a pressing state with the cylindrical inner diameter surface to which the second seal plate 2 is fitted. The cylindrical part 2b is fitted in a pressed-in state to the cylindrical inner diameter surface of a fixed side outer member 12 on the axially inner side from the bulging part 3d.
