PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rim of a support ring from being deviated without deteriorating work efficiency when assembling the rim. SOLUTION: This run flat tire assembly 1 is structured of a tire 2, a rim 3, to which the tire is to be assembled, and an annular support ring 4 to be installed in a barrel part 3c of the rim 3. The barrel part 3c has a base part 3c1 extending in the tire axial direction, a recessed part 3c3, and a large-diameter part 3c2 adjacent to the base part 3c1 in the tire axial direction and having outer diameter larger than that of the base part 3c1. The support ring 4 has a base part 6 to be installed in the barrel part 3c. The inner surface is provided with a projection part to be engaged with the recessed part 3c3 so as to prevent being off the position. In the base part 6, a plurality of reinforcing bands 11 extending in the tire circumferential direction and using a reinforcing fiber are arranged in positions except the outside of the projection part in the tire radial direction, spaced apart in the tire axial direction. As the reinforcing band 11, several kinds of reinforcing band 11 different in fastening force are included.
