PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear expansion coefficient calculating method of a hydraulic-setting material which accurately calculates the linear expansion coefficient of the hydraulic-setting material in a cure process, and to provide its apparatus. SOLUTION: When a specimen is slowly cooled or heated in a mold, an air layer having a high heat-retaining property is formed around the specimen since the specimen is slowly cooled or heated in a state that an external surface of the mold is covered with an air layer forming element, a drastic temperature change is avoided in the specimen, and an approximate expression having a high correlation is obtained so as to find the linear expansion coefficient. As a result, the linear expansion coefficient of the hydraulic-setting material in the cure process is accurately found. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
