PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium mounting method which can improve the revolving precision of a storage medium without increasing the number of the components. SOLUTION: The rotor which is rotatably supported on the stator turns relative to the stator. And the revolution center axis X1 of the rotor is detected. When mounting the storage medium 14, the revolution center axis X5 of the storage medium 14 is aligned with the revolution center axis X1 of the rotor. Thus, the storage medium 14 can turn around the revolution center axis X1 of the rotor when the rotor turns. The wobbling of the storage medium 14 is suppressed. A component of a kind of a balancer is not needed. The revolving precision of the storage medium 14 can be improved without increasing the components. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
