The invention relates to rolling production and can be used at construction of the systems of automatic control of the electric drives of horizontal and vertical rolls of the slabbing mill, and other reversing hot roll mills. A method for regulating speeds of main electric drives of a reversing universal stand of roll mill includes measurement of data and calculation of rolling parameters, setting the circular speeds of driving horizontal rolls and driven vertical rolls. Using the measured data and calculated rolling parameters the speeds of horizontal and vertical rolls required at drawing are calculated, which are used as settings for the electric drives in dependence on the speed of approach of a workpiece to the stand rolls, and also the speed of vertical rolls at co-rolling in horizontal and vertical rolls, which depends on the operation regime of the horizontal rolls, and which is used as setting for the electric drive of vertical rolls. The proposed method allows to increase accuracy of operation of the automatic control system at matching the speeds of drives of the horizontal and vertical roll of the stand, and also allows to avoid the emergency regimes of operation, to increase durability of the electrical and mechanical equipment and therefore to decrease the load on electric equipment and to provide energy saving. |
