PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control apparatus for an engine that includes an EGR system, with a transient response improved while improving exhaust gas performance.SOLUTION: In a case where a deceleration condition is established with a vehicular speed equaling or exceeding a given speed when controlling an opening degree of EGR valves 22, 26 interposed in EGR paths 20, 23 interconnecting an intake system and an exhaust system of an engine 10 incorporated in a vehicle, opening degrees of the EGR valves 22, 26 are decreased in comparison with the case of the deceleration condition not being established. The deceleration condition includes that a temporal change rate of an accelerator opening degree is equal to or less than a negative given value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
